Pirate Radio - Its History - It's Culture
Pirate Radio is many things. To some it's the rebellious illegal broadcasts created by those who feel today's Radio does not offer enough alternatives. To others, it's the legal "Low Power FM" stations allowed by the F.C.C. Still others think of the offshore broadcasts in the 1960s that served England and other part of Eastern Europe. Either way, here's your starting point.
